Our Mission
Reduce environmental impact by developing smart solutions to the safe management of the material captured during hydro-vacuum excavation at contaminated sites.
What is a VacSkip?
The VacSkip is a solar-powered and automated unit which is used to store and dry the slurry mix of water & soil (spoil) captured during vacuum excavation.
Typically, following completion of vacuum excavation, the ‘vac-truck’ leaves site and disposes of the spoil in a communal pit or it is simply poured on the ground. If vacuum excavation is performed at a contaminated site, the spoil will also be contaminated, it is therefore essential that this material is managed in an alternate manner.
Contaminated water can be treated and contaminated dry soil can be disposed of in special facilities, contaminated slurry however must undergo a separation process to allow for later processing. The award-winning & Patented ‘VacSkip’ achieves this by storing and automatically managing the drying of the captured material on-site.

VacSkip Benefits
Robust steel construction ensures the stored material is safely isolated from the surrounding environment.
Large surface area to depth ratio facilitates rapid solar evaporation of excess water.
Automated retractable cover system ensures the stored material is protected from further water ingress during rain events and at night, without the need for operator intervention.
Solar panel and battery system allow the self-contained unit to be placed in remote locations and/or rapidly deployed or relocated as required.
Unit may be transported using a tilt-tray truck or lifted by a crane as required.
Where are they used?
VacSkips can be used at any site where vacuum excavation is performed and contamination is present or suspected. These may include:
Defence estates
Industrial facilities
Airports
Electrical distribution yards
